FreeBuds 6 are the first open-fit Huawei wireless earbuds to support 2.3 Mbps lossless transmission and lossless music at up to 48 kHz / 24 bit. These earbuds certified by HWA Lossless and Hi-Res Wireless Audio deliver next-level listening immersion. FreeBuds 6 are the first open-fit Huawei earbuds to support 1.5 Mbps lossless transmission and lossless music beyond the CD level. These earbuds have obtained the prestigious HWA Lossless and Hi-Res Wireless Audio certifications.
Battery Life & Charging
The Huawei FreeBuds 6 offers solid battery performance, with each earbud housing a 39.5 mAh battery and the charging case holding 510 mAh. In “sound quality priority” mode, you get up to 5.5 hours of playback without noise reduction and 4 hours with ANC, extending to 32 and 24 hours respectively with the case. In “connection quality priority” mode, battery life is slightly longer—up to 6 hours without ANC and 4.5 hours with it, totaling 36 and 27 hours with the case. Voice calls last around 3 hours (19 with case) without ANC and 2.8 hours (17 with case) with ANC. The earbuds support both wired (USB-C, 5V/0.5A+) and wireless charging (up to 2W). Full wired charging takes about 45 minutes, while wireless charging for the case alone takes approximately 150 minutes.
Controls & Sensors
Interaction is intuitive with multi-gesture touch controls. Double-tap controls playback and calls, triple-tap skips tracks, swiping adjusts volume, and press-and-hold manages calls and ANC. The earbuds feature a suite of sensors including infrared, Hall, gyroscope, accelerometer, bone acoustic, and touch sensors, enhancing gesture detection and wearing status.
Connectivity & Pairing
Equipped with Bluetooth 5.2, the FreeBuds 6 allows for stable and efficient connectivity. They support dual-device connections and quick pop-up pairing with Huawei devices running EMUI 11.0 or later, making switching between devices effortless and seamless.
